Rim painting question...

I run different rubber than the spare - but can anyone suggest the best way to get these brushed alloy's BLACK? I'd really like to flip the letters in and paint the rims black until I can get my steely rims and tall tire set up...

I handsanded the stock alloys which had some pitting. Primed, painted w/ duplicolor graphite #102(gunmetal grey) and took care of the calipers too. Laquered with about 5-6 coats afterwards. We'll see how it holds after a harsh Maine winter. Either way, just sweat equity and I had only had the cruiser for about a week.

Hello ughe and welcome to the 80-Section here on IH8MUD.

When you post a message you can see a "Go Advanced" button. Then you will see "Manage Attachments". You can attach up to 3 images for each post. The images have to be 800x600 or smaller. IrfanView is a Windows program you can use to reduce the size of an image.

Another way is to link from a photo hosting site like Photobucket or Imageshack. Look at post #85 above. That image is stored on Imageshack as:

He included the picture in his post by imbedding the above link in HTML tags. Example: [ IMG ] ..... link .... [ /IMG ] (no spaces inside the brackets.)

I vote white if only your truck is white. Couldn't tell from your pic. I really like the look of this truck.

thanks for humoring me, I think ill go white I can always change it...my rig is white with silver and I painted my ARB to match the trim, so I hate not to paint the wheels to match something...and there is nothing else on my rig thats black so I think ill go white. Ill start a thread when I do it in the next week or so. more pics of white wheeled cruisers are always appreciated
