Australian petrol has no ethanol and the cruiser certainly preferred it. Having said that, I almost always ran gas but the cost of it here and the low butane content makes it much less attractive. I can run 100 LL in her, but as mentioned, it ain't cheap. I think I'll Chuck a tank of the Honstien in and see if it's worth the trouble. I'm certainly not doing it in the Ram because, well, it's a Dodge and should be abused.

Picked up two gallons of '91 today at Big Bear Petroleum - Honsetein
101 Anderson Ave S E, Albuquerque NM.

They have a 150g tank that they pump the gas into your container using a 12vdc pump! The guy said that Bernco won't allow E0 fuel but Santa Fe county does.

That's strange. Both G&T on 4th and Honstein in Santa Fe use normal pumps - well G&T doesn't have pay at the pump and charges $1 to use a credit card... Honstein you pay outside, but it's only premium there that is ethanol free.

My question is:
How can the US government continue to starve people worldwide by mandating the sale of automobile fuel that uses corn? It takes over a gallon of gasoline to make a gallon of ethanol which doesn't give as much energy anyway. WTF??? Does this really mean there are puppetmasters who don't care about starving people to death worldwide, nor diving into Americans' disposable income???

Let us know by what percentage your mileage increases. If it's 20 percent or close to it may be worth it.

After a few tanks I can say I'm getting almost 10% better, which really says something since the ethanol is 10% anyway - it could be 10% air and do that good...

Well that's 2 data points that average 13.5% better mpg on almost identical 4Runners. I must admit that the 21mpg was trying hard to take it easy on the gas. You know like driving behind Ash on the open highway....Going painfully slow up hills:flipoff2: Speed demon by heart;)

But, I'm a rocket ship going down hill though :D
