I am looking to purchase my first Land Cruiser, and am currently working with several dealers on 2016 and 2017 models. In the past I have always purchased new vehicles and predominately diesel vehicles. One of the vehicles I am contemplating is a one-owner 2016 with an immaculate service record but has 50k miles. I am interested in the Land Cruiser in part because of the reputation for reliability, but should I be concerned about purchase and 2016 model with 50k?

Thanks in advance for your help and guidance.

50k mi isn’t even broken in yet. If truly immaculate and well maintained you should be all set...

That thing isn't even broken in yet. You shouldn't have any costs to worry about anytime soon until you get to over 100k miles. I bought an 2008 with 90k miles last year and it felt new other than the nav. Hopefully it has some new tires or close to new tires.

New tires at 40k, but I am sure those would be replaced if it comes to me. Per the Carfax the vehicle was serviced roughly every 5k miles at Toyota. Glad to know it was taken care of but I am hoping that is not mandatory/needed on these?

Wow 50k miles?! Hard pass. These things are ticking time bombs once you get past 40k miles. Didn't you know the Land Cruiser is the least reliable vehicle on the road today made only for soccer moms and soccer dads in suburbia?

I'll drive mine to 49999.7 miles before trade in. lol

Recenttly bought a 2015 with 69.5k. Was a lease turn-in, also pretty close to immaculate.

Have a 99 100 with 250k and traded a 2006 with 175k for the 200.

No issues - it’s just getting broken in and someone else took the depreciation hit!

You kept the 99 and traded the 2006? I have a 99 but would like a newer 100 with the 5 speed and vvti.
