Yeah... the underbody is not great... the cover up concerns me more... and then I saw the interior. Run.

it’s no easy task to find these cars and buying a car especially one you have heart set on sucks because usually that means they are sought after vehicles and are overpriced for an area. I live in Seattle and culturally used cars are simply worth more here than in the rest of the country. Fortunately we do find some rust free examples since we don’t salt roads (it’s bad for the fish) and the dealer networks extend to California, at a price...

florida... just be patient (I can’t do it my self but it sounds easy when I say it.)

edit: I’ll add, that for a used car market that is overpriced (like mine in Seattle) it is not unusual for dealers to bring auction cars from the Midwest and east coast because there is money to be made on a rusty car... not all car buyers are as diligent as you are being right now. I suspect that is what happened with your cruiser and why it was brought to FL.

This is absolutely what is happening. Dealers know these aren't common vehicles and are willing to snap up rusty ones at auction knowing some buyers will walk, but as long as it's not falling apart, one eventually won't. If they can get it past a safety inspection, all they need is one person to not notice the rust and they have made their money.
