I'm in the process of rebuilding the pump and resealing it,when i tear down the pump all the vanes have already seperated and i did not see the proper orientation of the vanes being mounted if any body has a done this before please tell me which way the vanes go back into the pump.one edge of the vane is a bit rounded so i'm thinking this would be pointing out.i also notice that my gear box has a bleeder built into it would this be necessary to open when i bleed the system?before i forget this is for a 91 4runner with a 3.0 and rear abs unit tied into the power steering.the high pressure hose goes into the abs unit then a hose goes to the gear box.thanks in advance for your sugestions.
So nobody have done this before?i'm really surprised this would be my 2nd one just need some thinking on how the stupid vanes go back.i have to finish this tommorow the 4runner is ready to fire up after work will share some pointers after i get this all together.
Here is a few picks of the assembly i used a Trans. assembly lube to keep the vanes together and it's compatible with dexron.i also posted the kit no.just in case some of you decide to reseal your power steering pump later on.
I can't fire it up i forgot i had no battery,i'm just too preoccupied about some other stuff.i will borrow the trucks battery to get me running for a few minutes.
