No idea how I missed this. Such an awesome build. And so many nice touches. I was at Rendezvous In the Ozarks in 2024 but I didn't make it in 2025, decided to take a trip to Colorado instead. But it would have been cool to see this thing and meet you.

Most likely I met you there and had no idea then. Likely I even saw this and have pictures of it. I was sitting at the raffle table all day Thursday.
Actually just checked. I didn't take many photos this year but did take a photo of your rig because you were parked not far from me at one of the races. Very nice, and wish I had realized and we could have chatted for a bit. I live about an hour and a half from Gilmer currently. But this also explains why it looks so familiar to me in white with the vinyls.
Our next stop was the Puffin colony in Elliston. These guys would literally hop right up to you. It was super cool to see them up close. When we were restoring the truck, my son commented that it was about the same colors as a Puffin. That name stuck!
That evening we, visited the town of Dildo. A couple years back, Jimmy Kimmel gifted the town a "Hollywood" style sign on the hill overlooking the town. If you ever get the chance to visit, I HIGHLY recommend it. The people of Dildo (Dildonians?) are the nicest people I've ever met in our travels. We will absolutly have to visit again.
That night we stayed on the beach outside of town. At sunset EVERYONE from town came down to the beach to watch it. There were hundreds of people just randomly showing up for sunset. We chatted with a few, and one asked if we needed some firewood. 20 minutes later he showed back up on his quad hauling a trailer full of wood. We stayed up chatting with the locals around the fire for a long time that night.
We woke up to the sound of whales that morning. There was a humpback whale just off shore, and he stayed there for quite a while. On e of our crew flew his drone out to capture it, and spent way too long in the air. He had to go swimming in the frigid water to rescue it. Coffee on the beach, followed by more from the Dildo coffee house.
That afternoon brought us to St. John, the "big city" in Newfoundland. They're known for their colorful houses. Every street had some beautiful old houses, painted in bright colors. We also stopped at "Signal Hill". This was the location the first transatlantic wireless signal was received.
Lunch was at Quidi Vidi Brewing, probably the most popular brewery in Newfoundland.
That night we stayed on the edge of a cliff outside town. There were some impressive offroad trails in the area, it was tough to keep the trailer hitched and not go play!
This truck was at the bottom of the reivine. I sent the drone down for some photos. I almost went to see if there were any usable parts on the LS, but thought better of it.
We started the morning with some Puffin Lattes at camp before heading back to St John.
A few of us decided to get a souvenir from our trip. We had actually booked a block of time with an artist a couple months ahead of time, and had her draw up some custom work for us.
That night we stayed at the same clifftop dispersed site we did the night before.
After that we visited the Ferryland Lighthouse. They are famous for being a picnic spot. You pickup food at the lighthouse and find a place on the lawn. It was a lot of fun.
There was some nasty weather forecasted that evening for the camp site we had targeted, near the southern tip of Newfoundland. We decided to change plans, and returned to Dildo. We started a fire and had another great night on the beach.
