PTO winch

I have a factory PTO winch with most everything except the gear unit that goes in the tranny/TC. I just took pics of it and realized it has the PTO unit that bolts to the tranny, It just does not have the gears in the tranny for it. This thing is HEAVY so I can't really see shipping it but if someone wants it that way then they gotta pay for the packing and shipping it. I have not priced em but figure its gotta be worth $400. I figure I will just roll the $ over into more work on Ginny. If there is an interest PM me. I'm in Florida West of Tampa for those that might want to pick it up. Let me know.

I am not sure but I think it should as its a factory unit. You might want to check with the more knowledgable folks on the board. Poser might know.

3 speed pto winch will fit:
any other 3 speed-all 3 speeds have the transfer case pto gear
4 speed pto winch will fit:
any other 4 speed, but will have to have the pto gear from inside the transfer case since only pto equipped trucks have the gear.

you can cross them with the corresponding transfer case pto gear to fit 3 speed pto to 4 speed and vice versa. someone will correct me if i'm wrong, but i've recently been researching this myself.

The winch will bolt to any FJ40 frame and stock front bumper. The PTO box is the same for both 3-sp and 4-sp one piece t-cases. The PTO gear is different (10 spline for the 3-sp and 16 spline for the 4-sp). Driveshaft from the PTO box to the winch is also different 3-sp vs. 4-sp.
