Glow plug not coming on or coming on somedays but not every time.
hope this is not too confusing
Whn it doesn`t come on it needs 2 turns on the key to start and there is a slackness on tbe pedal. There is a delay on the revs of the pedal but drives perfectly. When light does come on there is no delay on the revs and it drives perfectly. Had diagnostic test done on it and lots of faults showed. He cleared these and re-test showed no faults. Is glow plug connected to engine management? Hope it's not ECU problem.!!!!!

Yes glow is controlled by the same ECU...Which sends a signal to a relay.
Could have ECU issues, when they to 10 years old the Capacitors tend to start fail on the ECu boards and spew its contents and corrode the tracks..
Best test is to find another ECU and try it...Even if you can borrow one for a few hours.
Or the relay could be playing up... Its under the L/H front guard.
