Any update on these? Really interested in a set!

Why not just completely removed my mud flaps? There a number of reasons why you should want mud flaps and maybe some I haven't thought of:

  1. Keep your vehicle cleaner when driving in inclement weather or muddy roads.

  2. Keep from breaking other people's windshield, especially when traversing dirt/rocky roads as a group.

  3. And most importantly to help give your Land Cruiser that safari look.

Some states (varies) require mud flaps by law if the tires extend past the line of the body.

Really cool idea. I've wondered about my lack of mudflaps with the sliders and now rear bumper.

Any shots of them on a rig with the full rig in shot? Front 45 and rear 45 would be great.

I'm also keen to seen exactly how they attach. A quick video would be awesome.

Nice work!

Thanks! I'll try to put together a video soon as I understand it's tough to get a feel for exactly how they work via photos. Stay tunned!

I spoke with my polyurethane supplier this morning. They had to buy a new mold in order to get the quality I'm demanding. They said they are going to do a test today and send me the sample by next week. Once I approve it, I will order the bulk. Everything else for 16 kits is ready to go. Initially I'll have to do these in runs, but eventually I hope to always have them in stock.

I also plan to produce these for all the Toyota trucks/SUV's assuming positive feedback on the 100 series kits.

Good call! Another I didn't think of that @marcfj60 brought to my attnetion: peppering your trailer with rocks and dirt.

I know this from first-hand experience towing my popup back from HIH8 a couple weeks ago and the fact that I have BIOR rear bumper and no mudflaps. I had 2 stripes of mud straight back from the tires on the front edge of my popup roof. And the trailer has a toy hauler deck and 4 bicycles the mud (and rocks) had to make it through to get to that point.

This is a cool idea- Ive been trying to figure out a flap that I can use with my BIOR rear bumper- I see you did one on Ben's bumper; how will these attach to aftermarket bumpers?
Since I have a BIOR rear and I live in ABQ, once the supplier issues are worked out then Rami can test them out on my cruiser and he will have another data point for a different bumper than stock or Dissent.

I got a set at HIH8! I can't wait to install these! They look and feel amazing! Plus the bags are hand made! I've just gotta wait to place my order with Ben for his bumpers and ditch these ARB bumpers!

I think we talked after the raffle, right? Have you looked to see if they would maybe work with the arb rear? I need to hurry up and get the directions written up for you and the other person who won.

Yes that was me! I haven't looked into it yet. I could if you would like me to. After HIH8 and knowing the kind of wheeling I like to do the ARB's just don't cut it for me. So I just tossed the flaps on a shelf and figured I would get to them when the bumpers were swapped out. If you would like me to try and mount them on the ARB rear bumper I will. Can't be that long of an install...

It's really just the rears. The rear brackets take about 10-15 min per side to install since you don't have the factory bumper.

It's totally up to you, but it would be interesting to know since I'm sure someone will eventually ask about that compatibility. No pressure though!

Also! These are code names for a reason. That reason being I can't think of that special name that encompasses the essence of the removable flap. I'm totally open to people's suggestions if they have any.

Post #2 and #3 updated with photos and a demonstration video. Check them out!!

Installed these today with my ARB bumpers! No issues! Great product! Even without instructions, it's definitely a 1 banana job! it was harder to remove the factory mud flaps from the ARB bumper than it was to install these!

**Update**

My supplier was able to get some urethane pieces that met my standards. They're a bit firmer and have a more consistent surface.

I have a batch being shipped now and will be here Monday. I'm hoping to get the first 16-18 sets out quickly as to get feedback and get a feel for the demand.

If youre one of the first 16-18 sets, I will make a guarantee that any significant changes made to the flaps based on feedback will be given to you at my cost at most (will likely try to cover all costs). I really don't see much changing as I have 3 local trucks including my own that have been running the setup all summer with 0 issue.

Hopefully sales will open up the weekend of the 22nd

Really like this idea a LOT! My older BIOR bumper is "open" at the wheel well. It has no plate welded on. Curious how these would mount to that. I can, of course, have someone fab up some plate to close the ends if necessary.

I'm interested. If it is anywhere as good as your media mount, it'll be amazing.

Is that polyurethane 2D or 3D? If its 2D, Belt Service in St Louis MO is gonna be about the best for bulk runs, and they have a ton of different materials available and can send out sample kits. Is the polyurethane reinforced?

I do a ton of work with polyurethane and Belt Service is tough to beat for 2D stuff. Also have homeboy hookup on molded 3D if you ever want to get into that.

The open part shouldn't be an issue. I'd be willing to bet it would work.

I'm not too sure about the structure of the urethane. It isn't reinforced as I don't see a real need. I do know that the urethane sheeting is custom pressure/temp molded.
