Time to lose a few pounds?





I am running a stock packs in the rear with only 4 leafs and they still have a huge arch too them. I am not sure how much weight got cut out but I am guessing it was decent amount...

same here had to put a AAl in my front and its still butt high :lol:


I can really tell the difference when I tow each one on the trailer

Haha, I know what you mean, I just about got it level. I moved the spring hanger forward to have a better shackle angle (45degrees now)...I was thinking of removing another leaf to get it about level. But, I have a few brackets on order for a 4 link so I might not mess with it til Uranus is done.

That is with one minor stop by NASA to visit their machine shop :D

Fun time at NASA on Fri.
My son actually got to play around on NASA's F18 flight simulator.. F'n 4 YO did a better barrell roll than some of the older people I have seen ;)

Got to Chris' house on Fri night. Began watching him tig up the finishing touches on the fuel cell. Unbelieveable work. He will post pics of that later ;)

Bob got the full exhaust treatment. Funny watching someone try to shoehorn everything in. The Front DS really wants to argue with the starter and teh exhaust. We (Chris) had to make some fun tools to make everything work together properly...

the PS exhaust runs straight down and over, so it sits between the "bellhousing" and the tranny pan.. Might have to make a heat shield for the pan.. Donno yet.

the bends had to be so close together so that the machine could not do it. So, Chris just made a bunch of bends and welded them together.

I had brought a 2.5/3" Y but Chris did not like how far it ended up placing the catalytic converter...

So, time to build a tool.. Fun stuff.
This piece was 2.5" tubing on the top and just under 3" on the bottom (to keep it straight..)
We basicaly set it up with the press and forced the 3" tubing to flare to dual 2.5" tubes...

The piece turned out perfect :D

Unfortunately, we spent too much time talking and building stuff (plus Ethan was being a big distraction by gigling at the hands that kept entering teh cab of the truck through the gear shifter hole ;) )

So the exhaust did not get finished...

I left Bob in Chris' capable hands. Looks like I am gonna pick him up the weekend of SNT.

one thing I love about the drive from Vegas to fresno is that I am always heading the opposite way traffic is :D

Damn kick ass idea on the 2 to 1. I was trying to figure out to build one of these the other day without it looking like a cluster f**k. Thanks:beer:

I fought with tank straps for two nights in a row. Ugh the fun of building trucks sometimes.... ;)
 
hook up the fuel lines to the tank, a bit of wiring, bleed the brakes, rear DS. And it is pretty much running and registrable..
 
those don't make it run ;)
