Yep, the center console is about 4" higher at the arm rest, tapering down to around 1.5" in front of the tcase shifter, that's where it needed trimmed...

And it actually feels more comfortable, believe it or not, and if I didn't know any better (and the carpet was a little longer in spots) it looks pretty factory...
 
Yeah it does look factory. Great work, now go enjoy the high clearance!

You should have done some before and after shots from the side, quite a difference. Another thing to do.
 
After all the threads, we have finally solved the 80's arm rest problem.... too bad it takes 3 days and way more fabrication than most of us have the time or skills to complete.

Haha, yeah, It's not that bad...I'll only have around 60 hours into it when its all said and done (including rotating the rear pinion up), its worth it to have the armrest 4" higher ;)
