After 5 years, I finally have some new paint. Put this in a California dip tank five years ago and it has finally made my painter's list. Adding fj60 axles(love to talk to the guys that said they fit) and a 383 stroker...Yes, going to the dark side. I want something for a good road trip. Seats, headliner and interior already done and engine/transmission is put together. So, it should only be another five years from here!

seriously? those are the only pictures we get? That's almost cruel..
 
That looks great. Where was the dip tank you used?
 
Somewhere in LA. It was five years ago and I am sure the EPA has shut it down by now.

That's right. Slow down, pace yourself. Use that time to POST UP A LOAD OF PHOTOS.....

Will your 383 be fuel injected? That is going to be a great drive train.

383 is carbed right now..but will be fuel injected. Will see it tomorrow and take some more pics.
 
Nice to see some progress Dukes. Is that still down here in Southern Utah?

Yes, the rig is still in St George area. Just moved it from paint in Hurricane to Ivins.

More parts. Think I am going to stay with original axles and just swap the discs off my 60s. Clearance issue in rear and changing spring perches on theframe may be too much trouble....unless someone out there has an easy solution.

Good progress last weekend. Got perch mounts ground off as well as shock towers. 60 axles are definitely going in soon.

You might already be able to see. The front axle in place is from an fj60 and I have the OME leafs attached. 383 engine in place with 700r4 transmission, Toyota split case and Locar shifter...trading shifter back in for shorter one. I am moving the rear axle to center in wheel well tomake 33x10.5s fit better.

Rear axle is from a 60 also. Changing the leaf mounts on the axle.
