Found this stuff at a Walmart store. Not sure if it is a good choice.
Is there a regular Prestone green anymore? Or Is everyone using extended life Prestone and distilled water for flushing the radiator?

Hello, is this thing on????

I just bought some Zerex "regular green" coolant at NAPA. They usually carry their own branded "regular" version as well, that's what I normally get.

In my opinion, "low-tox" coolant is a gimmick. Yes, propylene glycol is poisonous to dogs and humans, but it degrades quickly, and when well-diluted is really a non-issue as far as pollution/contamination. (Nowhere near the same as say, tossing a bunch of used motor oil on the ground.)

Ok, thanks.

So, as long as the antifreeze is green and not a 50/50 mix, 2 gallons of green and 2 gallons of distilled water are the best solution for the coolant system?

Anybody run the “low-tox” Prestone stuff nowadays? Any reason to use this instead of the regular Prestone green or vice versa?

I'm also curious about this. I think there's also a "Sierra Antifreeze."

One report of it being okay is good to hear, but more reports of a positive outcome would be nice before making such an attempt.
