I’m in the process of searching for the best prices for power steering gear assembly, pressure tube assembly and gasket kit to replace my leaking power steering. I know that there is a leak in the pressure hose coming out of the pump, but also had a shop tell me that there was a small leak in the gear area when he replaced my cv axles. Should I just go ahead and replace all of it at once, including the reservoir? The picture shows the cost from the dealership here in Kona. I’ve been looking online for other prices from other suppliers and looks like a president day sale for the next week at Norm Reeves Toyota in San Diego. Much better prices than what I was quoted here in Hawaii. I’ve read here on mud about someone packing items better than usual to insure that the parts don’t arrive damaged. Also am I missing anything from the parts list that I should order. Thinking of getting the timing belt and associated parts done as well. Sorry for the long post,
I appreciate any input and advice that I can get. Thank you

Going through the same thing. Check out Amayama, Impex, and Partsouq. You have to pay tarrifs but the savings might be worth it. I just priced a return hose, most dealers want $87, Amayama its $31.

Napa sells these high pressure hoses for only $150. Their from a U.S. based company but I’m not sure if the hoses are made here or the reliability.

How does the rubber hose that connects to the metal tube coming from the pump actually connect to it. Is it threaded?

Many of us have replaced the high pressure hose with the Sunsong hose from Rockauto with great success. It’s $17. I used a new Cardone rack, currently $433. I think it was about 60k miles ago. Lots of offroad and no issues.
