Trade Possible trade, My 40 for a Diesel Troopy

I'll have to call and swing by, I wouldn't be looking to trade, just take a look to see what a Pinzgauer has to offer, a top speed of 70 isn't bad since I don't like taking the Cruiser much over that anyway.
That is an amazing looking 40. Given all that you've put into it, have you considered going with a bench seat up front for your 5th spot? I've got 5 kiddos too and with the long benches in the back and that bench seat up front we've got spots for everyone. Not sure what it'd be like for a long day on the trail, but just a thought.
All that said, I can imagine that as my crew grows we won't fit very well. A troopy does seem like the ideal solution. I'll be curious to see where you end up.

Thanks, I spent quite some time building exactly what I wanted in a 40, and we even considered buying 2 40's as so not to have to part with this one, but we decided we didn't want to travel in separate vehicles everytime we went camping or wheeling. I looked at all options possible but the problem is with 6 kids I really have no other choice but to part with it. So I figured the next best thing to a 40 would be a Troopy.
So far it has been great meeting interested people and I have been very appreciative of all the good words that have been said about my 40. I believe in short time my 40 will be at a new home and I will be cruising in a Troopy, but only time will tell.

This is the cleanest cruiser I have ever seen. Scott does flawless work. The description of the cruiser is way too modest. Every bolt was removed. There literally isn't a single inch of this cruiser that wasn't touched. I would buy it in a second if I had the cash.

Sure wish I'd seen this before I sold my troopy - I love this rig (not that I need another 40, but have admired it for a long time). Have you sold it yet? Maybe give it to your nephew and do a troopy project with his '72.

It's actually pending sale, should be sold within a couple of weeks, but getting this 72 has been given me second thoughts on the sale.
As for the 72, working on it with him reminds me of my first Cruiser which was a 72 as well. Nothing better than cutting your teeth with a 40 series, he is sure excited and it should be a good learning experience for him.

Could not agree more. My first cruiser was a '72 as well which my folks got brand new and we still have in the family. That '72 of your nephew's looks like a fantastic start for sure.

Man, hold onto that 72, I didn't think there were any original owners left especially from 72.
I keep telling my nephew to fix it and drive it. I don't want him to burn out on a project, he needs to find out why LandCruisers are so much fun before he decides to go crazy on a build. Once running it's time to hit the mountains.
As for my 40, it is officially Traded/Sold.
