So I could not sleep last night and was reading some pirate 4x4 and stumbled upon a thread where a guy welded spring perches to the wrong side of his 80 axle. So I was looking at it thinking why hasn't any mini truck guys flipped a land cruiser rear axle to get the pumpkin away from the gas tank? Flipping a rear axle would only require moving two studs, some light grinding, rotating the diff cover on a 60series axle 180*, movng some brake lines and rotating the backing plates 180* . "But Geoff then my driveshaft will be angled and it will vibrate" bs john and me (mainly john) got my pinion angle dead on and I'm vibe free on mine. Good for my truck, bad for my junk. What does the group think?

I am intrigued by your ideas and would like to subscribe to your newsletter.

I never thought of it.... But I would love to have a FF, disced, fzj80 rear in the runner. But my gas tank always said no.

I have a 60 rear sitting under a tarp in my yard if you want to try it out.

Wouldn't the F150 rear tank take care or that? Plus your tank would be out of harms way at the same time. I know the 3rd gen tank hangs quite a ways down anyways.

On the cheap ass scale, flipping the axle or going with the f150 tank far outranks a fuel cell.

Love my f150 tank.
But I went & put it in the wrong place.
Works very well though.
Thanks G-off, again, for the tank.

Is this how you city folk landscape the yard in the cul due sac in the subdivision?

Yup! Its technically in my landscaping lol!! I have to hide it from the scrapers.
