You just need to keep a close eye on them while in use...and know if water stops flowing for any reason past the burner coil/heat exchanger it will melt...and spoil your shower(s) ;)

I've got my eye on the Zodi Extreme. I like that it doesn't run on batteries, just good ole fashion hand pump pressure. Simple with fewer parts to break down. Reviews seem to be favorable.

I use the Zodi Hot Tap Travel system that's in that link. Very happy with it. After i get it fired up, I let the water circulate and heat up for a minute by just leaving the sprayer in the bucket. The pressure isn't gonna knock mud off your truck, but it's plenty to wash the grime off your body.

I have the Zodi Extreme, but moved to a nicer on IMO a few years back.
It has a built in battery, and also a faucet that swings out to use as a faucet.

Base Camp AquaCube Portable Water Heater/Shower

You can get an adapter hose to use a bulk tank with it, and also you can hook it to 110v or a rigs battery to use and recharge the internal battery.
It works great, I like it a lot better than my Zodi Extreme.

I use the Zodi Extreme. Been very happy with it. I made the mods to make the hose longer and attached a sink sprayer. I am 6'1". One tank is a nice wet down and rinse with some to spare. It is a stretch to get two showers our of one tank though.

The Base Camp looks awesome! Now, I just need $319.

Been quite happy with our Coleman unit. Little on the bulky side but works well. Similar in size to the 'cube Corey has but less $. The battery lasts quite a while and can get several showers out of one of those small propane bottles.

The coolest thing about the cube is it can run on 110V, 12V(cig lighter) or an internal rechargeable battery. That rules.

Did not realize that, nice features. Shower head on the Coleman unit can't be turned off like the Cube.

Yes, the Cube really is a nice unit, and puts out decent pressure.
The only thing I added extra was the bulk tank hose adapter so I could run it off a small 5 lb bottle I have which is equal to around 5 of the throw away Coleman bottles.

And if the water you are sourcing from is very cold, you can recycle the spent water back into your receptacle which then heats up the too cold source water, pretty neat.
I got my unit off of Amazon along with the tank adapter hose.

I have the BaseCamp....love it. A 5 gallon container will get you a 5 1/2 minute (if ran continuously) hot shower. That's plenty of time to get it done.

I have the single can unit. As stated above it works great as a camp shower. Turn it on and let the water circulate to pre heat. I can say it felt really good after three hard days hunting elk! If you are going camping for a week it is great, 3 days, not on the top of my list...
