Portable Air Compressor for 33" 100 Series

Looking to purchase a portable air compressor for my 06 LC. Any reccommendations are appreciated. Here's the top 3 from what I've gathered off the web but looking to see what you guys are going with . Looks like the ARB is the best (but out of my price range).

1. VIAIR 400P-A EF (Model 40145): Around $300 - which is where I'm thinking.

2. ARB Portable Twin Motor Air Compressor (CKMTP12)" $500+ but ARB is known quality.

3. ETENWOLF Vortex S6 : around $150 which is cheap and makes me question quality.

I've had my ARB toolbox style compressor, just a single, for like 8 years now and it works in the extreme cold and heat and performs well. It gets hot which used to worry me but hasn't ever been a problem. if it fails I will replace it with another arb

I see there new style comes in a hard case and has improved a bunch

If you want the budget friendly option, buy from harbor freight pay for the 2 year plan and know you have a product that is guaranteed and if not you just go swap it out

I went with the ARB dual compressor clone on Amazon. Love it, can't beat the price. Some great brackets on etsy too.

How often are you using it? For occasional airing on weekend offroad adventures, or a couple times a day in tough conditions. I have a Viair 300P that I bought for my 62 with 31" tires. It could have handled a bigger tire, but going from 15 to 33 psi took 5-7 minutes per tire - that's nearly half an hour by the side of the road. OK if you're breaking for lunch, not so much if you're dirty, wet, and want to get home. But for price, I'd buy it again since I use it maybe 2-3x/year.

So, look at CFM delivery and cycle time. If you can't air up 4 tires without letting the compressor cool off, that adds even more time. I'd also get a good look at the hardware: can the hose be replaced if you drive over it? Is the valve fitting metal or plastic? Clamp or screw-on? The more durable and fixable the better.

Around once a month if I am lucky but likely less for the family adventures in Tahoe National Forest. I was looking at the Viair 300P, but I was unsure b/c of the weight of the truck. I have the standard 33 KO2 set up w stock rims, metal fittings. Thank you for the information. -Dan

All four tires at once with capable compressors. You need the 4 wheel air hose as well. Consider that when you check out the compressor prices.
