Ads requesting votes for John Laird are very frequent on the site today. Is this likely to continue? (i.e., is the 'mud forum going to be loaded with political ads in the future?)

Thanks

The ad services all have the ability to at least see your 'general' IP addy and therefore serve ads that are relevant to your location. I'll see if I have a way to turn off those that are politically related, but not all systems allow those filters.

With more than 250 posts (or as a paying forum supporter) you have the ability in your User CP to switch off some of the ad locations.

Woody,
Thanks. I must be too dumb of a user because I opened the CP user and could not find an option relating to filtering advertisements. Could you walk this old dog through the details?
Again thanks

Woody, Thanks for the drill down instructions. I have made the changes and am giving it a trial.
