Regearing the diffs in my FJ62, I'd like to ditch the crush sleeve and go with solid spacers. Anybody know where I can get a pair? If this is an OEM part from an older FJ40 diff, what year range do I ask for? My Yukon setup kits included preload shims, so I wanna try it. Crushing that sleeve is a royal PITA.

TIA...

What about ordering the spacers for a FJ40 from Spector?

Well, I would, but I don't know the year range to ask for.

So, I took a guess on a late 70's FJ40, went to my local dealer, he lets me play with their computer. Solid spacers came up on the diffs, but in a range of sizes, I think they showed about 12 different lengths. I assume the lengths are in inches, but when I compare the lengths available to my old crush sleeve (and the new one in the setup kit), they are all too long! Argh...

So, today I ordered one of the longest ones, my thought is to learn how to use the lathe at school, I'll just turn the damned thing down myself.

Does anybody here have an old solid spacer lying around that they could measure for me?
