That's a great picture. And you still have your 40. Awesome.. You have a current shot?

I sold that one when I returned to the States. My current ride is a '78 FJ40, the one in the previous picture was a '76. Sad to say (not really) just sold the '78 on eBay to a guy in New Jersey. It hit a good price, $8500, so I can't be too upset.

On to the next project....

I'm upset. New Jersey? Common, that's a death sentence. We need laws to prevent Land Cruisers being sent back east.

Yeah, I know. I asked the buyer if he planned to do any trail riding down in the Pine Barrens (S. NJ) and he said no. He just wants to cruise up and down the street with his kids.

Sad retirement for a noble veteran of Mexico, the Sierra Nevada and Burningman.

well mine's not the prettiest, but doesn't seem to be the ugliest either...image.webp

Introducing TLC Performance #001

This is a total rebuild of a 1978 FJ40 with early doors. It has an AL tub, cowl, and fenders. It was customized with 4 wheel disc brakes, mini-truck power steering, and a full roll cage. Thanks JimC for building me an awesome truck!
