Picking up my first running Cruiser on Saturday

Well after collecting parts to build a basket case 40 I decided to go another route. Looks like I am set up pick up a 1977 Aussie FJ45(pb?) from JSaltlick

The rear wheel is mis matched. The front matches the other side. It appears factory but would this be an Aussie only style? Does anyone have one (or two for a spare) that they would consider selling to me?

those just look like random white wagon wheels. if you are not inlove with those wheels I would get a wheel tire package from one of the larger universal 4x4 parts places like Clemson or 4wheelparts.com when you get largr tires. It is screaming for a SOA anyway

Yeah I know is should go SOA and be done with it. Hey you do yours and I'll do mine =). I just don't want 35" to looks small with the SOA.

No worries. I was just looking to see if they were factory. They have Austrailia stamped into them.

Had to keep dumping gas down the carb to get it to start. Gave it a really good cleaning and no more problems.

Anyone know where to by Aussie steering parts?

Also when lifting it do I only have to worry about the leafs in the rear? What do I do with the coils. Interesting set up. Do I need the sway bar?

Proffitt's cruisers has done a bunch of conversions. They'll probably have some aussie parts for steering.

Heck I would like to have it up to Kina's in a couple weeks but that doesn't looks like its going to happen if I can't find some parts. However I would be suprised if it didn't make it to the Fall Gathering.

Get it there! I doubt I'll wheel the pig, but I'm hoping it gets me there and back.

Well I just ordered some steering parts and due to the fact it will take 2-3 weeks, right and drive and all, its not in the cards. We'll have to get another YT get together before the fall gathering.
