There is a red 62 at the south San Jose Pick n Pull. I was just there. No rust body, a few dents hood and rear passenger door, crunched under ds qp, not terrible, didn't notice it first few times around, must of been where the accident was. 180k. Interior is essentially gutted, though the carpet is pretty decent and some door panels. Front grill gone. No dash. No master switch. Bezel is there.
Something was living in engine bay, little poops everywhere, didn't touch it. Looks complete though, along with drive train.
Enjoy!

Oh nice. What did you snag? I will be in the area tomorrow and will stop by. Crossing my fingers for Mudflaps, ebrake, and some gaskets.

@revkev DUDE if you can grab the rear hatch and gate I'd buy them from you. I've been looking for red but 4 hours is a bit far to go on a chance. at least if you can let me know if it's there and if it'd be worth the time for me, I'd be grateful...

@LAMBCRUSHER Bad news, the FJ was picked by the vultures. Rear hatch/gate is gone. I got really lucky and pulled a full set of mud flaps, e-brake handle, and some trim pieces.

Thanx for lookin Kev!

I just left there at 5pm. Got me a spare TPS cargo chrome sill plate.Going back for the seats and carpet tomorrow. The rear bumper is in very shape someone looking for one, lmk.

U were right about something living inside the motor. There was rat inside the air cleaner. I was alive and ran through the fender vent, haha

HA! THANKS KEV!

RMutt, were u there the first day for FJ62? If so

No, I wasn't the first one there. Someone got there the day before i think, took cpu, master window switches, grill( I think), center console. Dude kinda of butchered everything, just cut wires randomly.

I got rear shoulder belts and associated trim, the dash(perfect condition!), some grab handles, front seat belt plastic trim pieces, and some window trim. Also the door trim on that one had some extra foam around the top, so i took those. Front head light cups and some stuff for that. Lots of goodies when i left it, Figured and hoped some mudders would get in there and pick her to her bones.

Got home thought i was just gonna bolt those shoulder belts right in! Wrong. '89 juuuuust a little different then '88. Another shelved project.

Do you have the side vents on the fenders and rear quarters?

The vents were all gone, sorry

At least u left me a little. I bought all the seats, carpet, TPS, carb blower, MAF, drip rail trims, and small items I pocket, lol

@RMutt2017 , LMK if you want to part with dash, front seat belt trim, and rear shoulder belts. I need to check my '89 and see if there is a contact point for the shoulder belts...but I do not recall seeing one. I live in SOMA but would go to you.

Last time I saw a 62 in a piknpull i walked out with all the relays i could stuff in my pockets! And wow I'm impressed you braved the rats nest(literally) to pull that MAF. Almost went in for the distributor but didn't. Good on you.

Already put in the seat belt trim, and definitely keeping the shoulder belts for when my kid gets a little older. I've got a dash that was perfect until i dropped it and made a hairline crack down the middle. Give you that one for free, if your interested.

Thanks, but my dash is perfect for now. I do need one of the rear passenger side seatbelt and throttle cable. My FJ62 was idling high. Today, I adjusted the TPS and replaced the IAC (from the FJ at PP). The wagon idle better then my Lexus. The throttle cable has a fray causing to stick sometimes. Btw, u live in SJ? If so, let's hang out sometimes.

I appreciate the offer....think I will opt for a dash cap.
