Are you all ready for something a little different?

I wanted an off-road capable truck with a low range 4x4, that is easy to work on and all terrain tires. I wanted to be able to haul a large trailer and/or boat.

I also wanted it to drive like a car & to be able to haul up to 8 people in comfort. And to look as stock as possible.

And I wanted a 7.1 surround sound system with a DSP & back up camera.

Here is the solution:

Lexus LX 470 (LandCruiser)

DC Power Alternator 260a - voltage while running both ACs full blast and stereo at full tilt it stays at 14v+

Dynamat Extreme everywhere

Three Batteries (1 under the hood & 2 in the rear)

KenWood Double Din DVD (that can play Flac recordings)

JBL MS-8 Surround 7.1 Sound DSP

Three Arc Audio 1200.6 xDI amps. They are 6 Channel amps are capable 1,200 watts each or 3,600 watts total. (150 watts a Channel or 600 watts bridged.)

Focal K2 ES 100K 4" - 2 way components as the center channel.

Focal K2 165 KRX3 6.75" - 3 way components in the front doors.

Focal K2 ES 165K 6.75" - 2 Way in components the rear doors.

Focal K2 ES 100K 4" - 2 way components behind the 3rd row.

Two AudioFrog GB10D2 - 10" Subs - Each Sub in a divided box with 1.75' per side. Rear firing & ports on each side near the bottom.

10" AudioFrogs in 1.75 cu feet per side ported enclosure behind the 3rd row. The box slides in and out of the LX 470 so that I can get the jack out or remove the 3rd row seats. In this picture it is slide out a little.

Very nice! Did you run your main power cable that runs front to back inside the cab or below the truck along the frame?

Congrats! I'm' sure it pleases the ear. One question though, did you consider other sound deadener options? MLV, etc?

Can you please come and do mine now?

The power wires run inside the cab on the driver's side.

I was prepared to use MLV if needed but, the LX is pretty quiet from the factory. After the Dynamat Extreme everywhere, the only noise that I can hear at 70 mph is wind noise from the windshield. Seriously is quieter than my son's 100% stock Lexus ES 350.

Nice! What speaker mounts did you use in the doors, & how much Dynamat did you use? I'm thinking about applying some to my doors.

The speaker mounts are all custom made using the OEM mounts as a pattern and then adjusted their heights clear the speaker magnets and door card. Those front door Focal midbasses have huge magnets!

IDK how much Dynamat was used. It was one of those projects that continued to snowball :)

Btw in case anyone is wondering, the subwoofer box slides in and out, so that I can remove the 3rd row seats.

The results of my 1st Time tuning.

(Please pay no attention to the high output levels for 20hZ to 50hZ because they can be simply turned down)

Now the male vocals and drums are more defined. The high female vocals and cymbals will give you goosebumps because it sounds like you are seeing a live concert. Lost a little volume but, it was worth it.
