yeah he does...
I like the line where you put it....but I'm leaving the 6M1 on the bottom and only painting the top half.

now do I continue across the back door? or leave it all green?

i'm sticking with the limited production "Jeff Corwin Edition" paint scheme...

Thanks.

Hell, I really like the 55-style paint scheme. If it looked good up close, I might be tempted to do up a khaki/white combo.

Shahram, that first pic is pretty much exactly the line i'm going with with line-x, except in black and except at the front it will cover the entire front fender. But on the doors and the rear, that's exactly the line i will take with the product.

That will definitely help with the pinstriping, but I've heard that the black Line-X retains a lot of heat, something that (at least in this climate) might be kinda bad.

Heya Shahram- any chance you can do that Olive Green 653 from above on a large side shot of a cruiser?? Im no photoshop pro-but it seems like using a nice white cruiser-3/4 or side shot would be easiest.?

thanks,Tim

YEAH, GIMME A COUPLE OF MINUTES OH CRAP CAPS OFF Oops, sorry, didn't mean to yell. Yeah, give me a couple of minutes with it and I'll see what I can do.

Thanks.

Can you make us one of these Amigo? I was planning on doing a white top with Dune Beige....but I really like your 55 lines. The white roof/hood in Mexico would be stellar. Looking forward to more pics.

It would probably look like this, going down the line from the rear hatch to the front tail light along that top crease in the body:

And because grey is neutral, here is the same paint scheme with olive drab:

Damn...I think it looks pretty good from afar. Up close might be a different story.

Compare that with the painted flares look a la 40th Anniversary:

the two tone looks like a the classic iron pig. i love it

Okay, the colors match, but the shine of the FJ40 is hard to copy, so the finish on the FJ80 is gonna be a little more "matte" looking.

YEEEES! sr gringo...... I thought about mint green.

It sure would stand out in a crowd thats for sure. Id say full one color tho for an 80. Not sure i could handle two tone as that green is a very busy color on the eyeballs all by itself.

If you want to go two tone with that green....you might as well throw caution to the wind and just do a pumpkin orange bottom and mint green top......Shahram--how bout a pic o that!

My 40 was that color.

I liked it on the 40. I don't think I'd like it on the 80.

I think the 40, with vintage lines, etc., can handle that spring mint green, but the 80, with its rounded, more bubbly lines is gonna look like a Jordan almond. Sure, kind of yummy and wedding appropriate, but maybe not all that cool.

We'll see. I'll do it up when I get into the office this afternoon.

And seriously, the more I look at the 55-style paint job, the more I like it. Especially the grey. I'm gonna do some more colors.

Keep the pics coming. So far the brown and grey have been my favorite... you have a point about the almonds

Minus the chocolate chips (Thats so Desert Storm) it would look sweet...Or use the new Army ACU pattern , or Marine uniform:
