ALTERNATOR....

Though I used to think it was a 12-SI, I found out today my alternator is actually a 17-SI 120A (or 108A?) alternator.

This is supposedly the alt w/ highest output & best cooling before GM switched to the serpentine CS-series alternators. Applications: 1986 Buick Electra, or Olds 98 w/ 3.8L; Lester #7854-9, Delco 1101225.

And for future reference, the diode Trio is MPEAC12SB $3.39 from NAPA.

Well... after some serious time away... i think is my stalled project is ready to be revived...

I wanna get it ready for inspection ASAP! (Anxious to be able to drive it locally, and not hafta hook-up/load up the trailer to do anything)

Gotta do
- rear bumper (planning a carrier)
- all lights
- horns
- wipers
- speedo/guages

Gotta wire up my winch and plumb my OBA, too... but these of course aren't necessary for inspection.

I cleared out the garage last weekend (the 1st step is the hardest!)... and I will give updates here as things develop.

PICS!!!!!!
