Did the Gates/Breeze Clamps Bypass on mine. It's a Frustrating Job, but I did it on my Time so it would never strand me or family on Vacation. It's a Pay me now or Pay me Later Issue. If you keep on these trucks with PM they Very Rarely Surprise Ya. There are 2 other off-roaders very Notorious for Surprises.

I had to come back to mud and look up the threads on changing this little bastard of a hose, Luckily I had one of the Wit’s End’s PHH replacement hoses in the shed from ages ago (people are now saying wit’s end has closed?) anyway, This job is genuinely a massive dick drag, but once it’s done you don't have to worry about it ever again, this is definitely not something I would want to to on the side of the road. What made things easier for me was having a swivel head ratchet to reach down from the top to that mounting bolt for the hard line, removing the bolts for the auto box dip stick tube and flexing that down out of the way and having a heap of socket extensions to reach the hose clamps on the PHH from under the chassis rail. If you’re about to take this on, have at least a full day up your sleeve, be in a good mood, work in the shade and be able to run out and grab parts/tools you don't have to finish the job. I had to go grab a coolant fill/bleed funnel thing that fits to the top of the radiator, plus green coolant and a swivel head ratchet.

Your 100% Right. It's a Tough Spot.
You put the Metal hose back on?
Once I got it Disconnected there was no way I was trying to get that Tiny piece of Rubber hose back in there.
I did the Full Bypass which Eliminates the Metal Hose and 2 Possible Leak Locations.

Yep, i did put it back on but only because the LPG gas system I have on this uses the coolant lines to heat the LPG unit, there’s more hoses and connections on mine than a regular petrol motor (mine is still both petty and lpg) And it would have been an even bigger ***around if i changed all that. Plus, I didn’t think of it.
