The Aussies get those too; along with some other 70 series models. I browse Toyota Oz once in a while and drool. Expensive machines though. http://www.toyota.com.au/landcruiser-70-series/range

Looks like they are really moving over to the new V8 diesel now. I've heard the 70 series v8 diesel is pretty cut back compared to the 200 series v8 diesel. Same basic engine, but power reduced on the 70 series.

I'll take one of these for the family:

One of these for work:

And one of these for play:

Even if we could get them new, I don't think that is in my price range. I'd still be banging away in a
30 yr old truck. Any idea on how fuel efficient these are?

Yeah, I don't know how anyone affords them new. That said, look at the price of a new 200 series in north america and you'll crap yourself. Way more than a 70. Cruisers have always been pricey new. YOu get what you pay for.

I'll stick with my 25 year old 70...haha. Doesn't look much different from the new one aside from the grill/lights, haha.

I think they are claiming around 10l/100km highway with the new v8 diesel.

Ill take the double cab thank you very much.

I wonder what Miller or ENS charges for one? (but not enough to search for the answer) I bet its a lot as well, especially for an off road only version.

FWIW... a guy up north where I used to work insured one and drives it daily. Fewer MV rules in the Yukon I suppose.

Nice truck but it's not for me.
Not that I'm picky or anything....... :meh:

Yeah I knew it's not your thing...just came across it while in the classifieds section and thought it would compliment this thread.
