Periodic Clicking after Front axle overhaul

I agree. It was difficult to try and explain this noise and I was very reluctant to use the word clicking, because it's so synonimous with the birfield wear. But this was a metal on metal sound that although clicking wasn't a perfect description, it was the closest thing. I guess it was really in between a click and a clank.

That's ok, I had everyone trying to help me with a sound which was only resolved by me finally recording it. Describing a sound can be frustrating on everyone. Glad you found the problem.
