Saw XAT is putting out some stuff this year. Will be nice to have header alternatives now that Doug Thorley has discontinued their line for the GX. The GX is the first non-boosted engine I've had on a Toyota vehicle in 10 years. Had a 2014 Tacoma Baja Supercharged, and a 2021 Tundra Supercharged. Wakes up the vehicle so, so much! I know it's a lot of money, but for people that have had their vehicle for a while and need an excuse to love it all over again, it's really hard to beat a boosted experience. I can't wait to return to the club!

What are some other good options out there for the performance minded GX470 owner?

Mine rips with DT long tubes, aFe cold air intake, exhaust, and a tune. Totally different driving experience than it was stock. Supercharger would certainly be interesting, although I went the gears + lockers route instead.

Tell 'em to share some 460 love. We need performance oriented exhaust headers bad... 😐 The will really open up the GX's.

Here is another new header option for the GX.

Glad they are back on the market from others. It took me months to get a set of DT LTs in 2021, and over 20 hours of wrenching to install them. They were totally worth it, and really woke up the UZ. The Brockett's look very similar to my DT LTs, with the difference being the DTs are have a three-Y design (2 into 1 and 2 into 1 again) while the Brocketts are 4 into 1.

I had DT LT's on the Tacoma and ya....what a PIA to install! That SAIS tube really gets in the way. My manifolds are currently leaking. After I paint the GX this spring/summer, all my performance upgrades start.

I saw Brockett had some preorders going on. Happy to see other picking up the slack.

I've used OTT (@justdsm) for tuning since before he worked for OTT like 10 years ago. He's really a Toyota truck tuning wizard! If you're not familiar with him/them, they have dedicated threads over on Tacoworld. Cannot recommend him enough!

There's a mad wizard over on Tundras forum that's deep into a full build for another user. Doing open source 3D scans of everything as he goes. He also has a GX460 and I bet if you poke him some, might get him to start on it next... @snivilous wait, are you here too?

When I get the expendable income I will. 😁

Yes sir :D though I must admit I have no desire to make headers, that is time consuming work. Though I have a 1UR scan on GrabCAD as well as Mud (resource section) that is free to download, and if someone needs it I can always scan the underside/engine bay of my 460. I would like at some point to either put a Tundra supercharger on the 1UR or turbocharge it, but that is still aways down the road.

EDIT: Saw this is in the 470 section, I have no 4.7 vehicles anymore let alone a GX470. If someone wanted scan files to help them build something I'm sure I could find one to scan though.
