jt outfitters site talks about the increased HP and fuel economy with the weber carb. is this true? will i see any increased performance from a weber over a stock carb?

thanks.

nevermind. i got it figured out with a little searching. oops. hey-how do i delete my thread?

Are you talking about on a 22r? I put one on my 83 p/u and couldn't tell a difference. I only bought it because the OEM carb was crapping out, but I wouldn't recommend buying one for a performance boost.

I had one on a 1980 20r.Performance gain was great(with a little bit of tuning)mileage was a little better although thawt was probably due to the fact that the other carb was worn. They say that these are bolt on but that isn't true. You will probably have to re jet it,which is fairly easy and increase the accelerator discharge nozzle a size up.get the one with automatic choke too easier starts and less fiddleing around. The only down fall with these carbs is they dont like moisture.Rainy days high humidity that sort of thing.
