Downtown, Midtown or Buckhead. My favorite hotels downtown are The Ritz, The Ellis, Glenn Hotel, The W and Twelve. Those are all Marriott properties downtown.
I imagine hotels will be booked. I’d try HomeAway or AirBnB if I were you.
Definitely go to the Claremont Lounge and Northside Tavern.

I’d stay in the Westin, Hilton, Hyatt or Marriott Marquis downtown. All walkable and relatively cheap usually.
