PDI Torsen Center Differential

Haven't seen this discussed.... I really enjoy the Torsen Center diff in the 200 (Type T-3). Doesn't say what type used in this unit though. Would like to have one in the 100. $700 AUD minus GST is approximately $450USD right now.

Wow, good find. Sounds like an excellent idea, and at that price... If I need to open the transfer ever, I imagine that this one goes in. I wonder if there are any other changes required.

A limited slip diff seems like it would work great in addition to A-TRAC. It could be useful on muddy, slippery situations where A-TRAC doesn't shine. Especially for that price.

The Megacruiser has them right from Toyota... because of course it does.

Seeing this thread now after buying one lol. Just got my order in, invoice was A$636+270 shipping with DHL. Paid via PayPal $674+74 import fees. Will be installing come September when I install my domiworks input shaft in a 3F/A440 ‘91 80 series donor case to swap into my 98-02 LX470 with a ZF8HP.

Won’t have feedback for a few more months though.

Some older Audi's from the 1990's era featured lockable Torsen's. And other cool features like "ABS-OFF" switches.

I looked and didn't see anything. You have a link? We're talking 100% locking... where one axle/driveshaft has zero traction.

In the Audis, the center diff, which wasn’t Torsen until 88, was lockable, along with the rear diff, which was open in normal operation. The center Torsen was not , but the rear diffs certainly were.
