There were two builds for the 100 series; one from 1998-2002 and one from 2002 -2007. The engines and transmission were changed in 2002 and the differential was changed in 1999. There are additional differences between the Land Cruiser and LX 470.

You really need the correct year manual for your truck.

I recently got a 2003 LX470. Anyone have the FSM or can direct me where to find one? Im in Costa Rica, good mechanics I can trust hard to find where I am so I plan tackle as much DIY as i can and the FSM would really help as this is my first 100/LX470.

Thank you so much for posting this. You just answered a question that's been nagging me for so long! I could never figure out why my '02 never fully matched one set of diagrams or another. Am I reading this correctly that, it looks like they phased the upgrades from the 01 to 03 models over the 02 model year?

Looks like they had updates in August of both years.
