Really? I see it.. Easy enough, just Google AK10 "images". That's how I found it. :)

I bought one on Ebay after doing some research on them and from what i read only around 2000 were imported to the states and the parts are hard to come by so I sold it without ever laying eyes or hands on it soon after buying it (think I paid $800 and it was a 1967). They are actually built were heavy duty, the axles are supposed to be bigger and stronger than both the Landcruiser and land rovers? I am actually in Colombia South America right now and these things are everywhere and are still in production today and very nice I must add as a luxury SUV, the new ones come in gas or diesel. They are a cool looking truck and very rugged and down here they outnumber the older landcruisers probably 5 to 1. So if someone was to want to buy one ur best resort for prts would be down here?

Yep, also had experience with them in the mountains around a Bucaramanga Colombia plantation in 67 or 68...........RUGGED very simple and well built..............but a real bone shaker:D

Looks like the love child of an FJ40 and old Land Rover. . .that then went and had a kid with a vintage Bronco.

I'd give it a home.

i really think the patrol is more like the old landrovers. My cousin has a 67 fully restored series II landrover and looking at the back of the tub, Inside and just overall all i see is landrover. Awesome vehicles though. Hire a chiropracter before u wheel one.

The Nissan Patrol is on par with the Land Cruiser. Both had the same general build of a scaled down 1/2 ton truck. The Patrol is still a major competitor for Toyota in other markets. The Land Rover and Jeep had a different approach to build...........

Nissan and Toyota = Big Six, high torque didn't require low gearing but stout parts, good road speed.
Jeep and Rover = Tiny Four, anemic motor required low gearing but spindly parts, low road speed.

Nissan would have given Toyota a good run in the small four wheel drive class in the States.............but they withdrew the Patrol. At the same time you'll notice Toyota didn't import their sports cars, but Nissan did, not a coincidence. ;)

nissan and toyota as much as they are compeditors they have always been very civil towards each other...after WWII nissan was selling their cars and trucks at toyota delerships in japan...how many US auto-manufacturers would have done the same?

Toyota has many agreements and dealing with a large variety of companies...nissan being just one :)

Quite a few of them in Colorado. There are three sitting on a lot in downtown Meeker right now. I remember seeing about five or six in Ouray some years back. I've seen a couple driving through Grand Junction in the last few years.

They are still making the G60 patrol for the Indian army to tow its artillery and rocket launchers around.
Their big heavy petrol engines were a design bought from Austin Trucks in England.

I like these models with the turbo diesel 4.2 the best.Cheap, strong and plentiful with 10 inch diffs on coils.
The new 3litre turbo is having problems with exploding pistons.

I owned a Patrol prior to buying my FJ40. Not too bad a vehicle, but parts are a mofo to find. I still have the hardtop for the Patrol, if anyone's looking for one....

I would roll one of those. There's a guy on Pirate who has an SOA one. I don't know what he's done as far as getting parts.

I saw one at a car show once. This guy had one with 45" turf tires and a blown 350. It was kinda ghey.

that one has been for sale a LONG time.....

No kidding, at least 1.5 years. He'll probably take $250.

I found one sitting in a field in Aiken, SC a few years ago. It's tag expired in '86 (or something like that). It wasn't my property, so I didn't want to snoop around too much. Good thing the owner didn't come out; I would have tried to buy it.

i would buy one. They seem cheap enough to bang around in the woods with and not care if it rusts the fxxx out...
