Is it missing a tank or has a bad tank. If its a bad tank its worth seeing if the recall has been done on it yet>

well rust is his issue with the tank, sounds pretty severe . And he has a cracked exhaust manifold that,s why he wants a header . He just got this truck and he says it sat several years. Thanks Kirk

if he wants a stock manifold I have one that I would be willin to part with for next to nothing!

Have him call a toyota dealer with the vin and they should be able to tell him if the tank was ever replaced under the recall. I know several folk who have gotten new tanks. My was done before I bought it. There is no time limit on the recall

I've got a tank on my 82 parts truck that I think is still good. Someone else has dibs on the filler neck though. Also have a 88 FJ62 parts truck if that tank would work. I'm 40 miles east of KC. Let me know if interested. Eric
