If only that Pig could talk...

....this could be like a scene out of a cartoon, or an animated flick like Cars:

I was THIS CLOSE to hauling that thing home and dis-mantling it forever, had it bolted up to a tow bar, hooked to my truck, dragged 20 ft down the gravel drive.

If it could talk, it'd be screaming NO! nononononono NO!! I still have lots of life left! I promise not to belch gas fumes and exhaust into the cab, or drip tranny fluid in the driveway!

That truck was/is way too complete to part out, it still astounds me that it took a brush with wrecker to get somebody else out there to save it.

Great to hear that it will live to see the trail again. Let us all be vigilant and save these old trucks!

Minus the 2.5T Rockwells and 4BT... I was thinking something like Big Stinky:p

Well the upper fenders are holy'er than though, the roof is completely rotten with holes through from a former rack... the rockers are gone as are the doglegs and lower quarters. Doors are usable and hatch is rough. My plan is to cut out the rusted metal, what is left will be trimmed to a useful condition. I don't see how I can save the entire rear short of a donor body. The interior is gutted, no cluster, panels, or glove box cover. I think this is the perfect candidate for a "pig-light", otherwise it is scrap. The frame will need blasted but if I have to chop the rear off, it will be mostly tube back there....

Todd, I plan to keep the windshield and frame, more like a combo Big Stinky and the sweet swine "Short Bus".
If I see a pig windshield, I'll let ya know for sure.

Ah...that 1st picture was worth a 1000 words...just not good words eh? to your new project.

Jeffrey, there is a fairly decent body close to Birmingham.......good roof, doors fenders, tailgate and rockers.....no motor, tranny or axles....dude wants 400$ but at this stage 200 would take it I believe; I would take it BUT am already involved in rescuing 2 pigs that were crusher bound.......so my plate is full; shoot me a PM if interested....
