actually its not perfect. i dont get partial page loads anymore but smilies attachments and stuff like that dont work.

My computer works perfect when im on the school network but when i get home it has the issues. school and home are both wireless. maybe its a router configuration. it feels like the page is just loading slowly and not picking up all the information. like ih8mud thinks its done loading when it really isnt.

yes - page loads sometimes fully and clear - other times not - I can refresh to fix

can't use any of the smileys or any of the tools in the advanced window - must be the Safari updated browser Version 2.0.4 (419.3) mixed with this version of vBulletin v3.6.2

Bummer...

Still having the same issues. Only with MUD, not with any other BB (usually 3.5.?). This is happening with FF 2.0 as mentioned above and also with IE 7.0.5730.11. This is really begining to be annoying. I'm down to about 20% of the time things work as they are supposed to. With IE the pics and gibbereish are slightly better but I keep getting the following:

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

I was all set to blame my computer but it's awfully strange that FF and IE would have the same issue and as mentioned it's only with vB 3.6.? not any other vB version. The same goes for the TLCA area. Editing in all areas is pretty non-existant. To get any formatting I'd have to use html and even that's not 100%. Smiles don't work in either.

Am I still a member of the small minority that continues to have problems?

I've got FF 2.0 and IE 7 on 3 machines...and none of them have issues....

I've been hunting at vBulletin for solutions and haven't found any yet...

Ok, just wanted to give an update.

If I can locate all my software I'll reformat and hopefully it'll help.

Seems to be working better now

edited a couple settings this morning.....see what effects those have on page loads on on Mac users....

I've now double checked that I have the exact same software, OS 10.4.8 and FireFox 2.0 on my home and office iMacs.

At home almost everything works fine. I NEVER have a partial page load problem. In fact the only thing that's broken right now at home is the time stamps on posts, which are stuck on Pacific Time. My time settings are correct and at the bottom of the page it says "All times are GMT -5. The time now is 09:36 AM" which is the correct time.

At the office I still get partial page loads about 30% of the time, but variably up to 100%, none of the shortcut icons in the editor work (i.e. image, URL, smileys, etc), unsubscribing from the link in notification emails doesn't work, etc. So it has to do with the way I access the 'Net at work, which is a T1 through the local hospital, with lots of firewalls, and including WebSense filtering. This is definitely somewhat browser and OS related, as my MacBook running WinXP Home and FF 2.0 that shares the IP address of my iMac works fine - I haven't exhaustively checked but everything seems to work fine in casual browsing.

Since my home Mac works fine I'm pretty confused.

What's the deal with the timestamps though?

wanted to add my voice here as i've been seeing the munged page problems on a variety of computers.

Windows FF 2.0 @ home
Mac FF 1.5 & 2.0 @ home
Mac FF 2.0 @ work

all the above have shown the page loading problem at least 20% of the time, with it hovering right around 40% of the page loads to be junk. it just gets annoying having to reload almost every other page.

this seemed to start with the big upgrade/changes that were released with the new BB system. i use other sites that have the same software, but possibly different versions and don't see any of the symptoms seen here. once it gets ironed out i'll rebuy my star - it's such a problem that i can't see doing so until it's patched.

let me know if you need testing feedback on any browsers mentioned above.

"trigger finger" is ready to order a new server this week...working on some tweaks in a few minutes to see if the current setup can be tweaked any tho....

keep me posted, curious if the problems still exist later today into tomorrow...

(wish I could replicate them here tho...I have near-zero issues with 4 different computers)

thanks for taking measures on this. i'm a little more sensitive to as i'm sick at home with nothing else to bitch about. ;)

i'll report in here if the errors subside.

thanks,
matt

I'm in the same boat. Works fine at school, not at home. Same computer even; just different wireless. I'll bet I won't even get any formatting in this post. :(

I gave the ccleaner a try and it helps but I'm still at ~50% still having to reload pages.

I still haven't reformatted my hard disk yet because I'm still trying to find some of my software.

hmmm... just started up again ( the jumbled pages & not being able to include a smiley)

Mac OSX 10.4.8 - safari 2.0.4 macbookpro 2.16 Intel

I've had zero issues, I can't fix a problem I can't duplicate with 4 computers, 3 logins, and 3 different ISP's....

new web server is on order....not gonna do anything until that $5,000 piece of equipment is installed and running....waste of time/$$ to trace right now...
