Hi All!

I have a 2013 LX 570. I've got low miles, but now at 6 years, considering flushing the AHC. curious if anyone has ever tried just a partial fluid exchange? that is, lower the vehicle to L mode (filling the reservoir), sucking as much old fluid as possible, and then replacing it with fresh fluid.

thoughts?

thanks!!

It isn't that big a deal to bleed the four corners, but you'll get most of the old fluid on the first bleed/corner, so if you do go partial I'd suggest that. Once you get into it, you'll find it isn't such a big deal, and once you're set up with fluids, rags, and the old oil mess, it makes sense to do the full change.

I have done my own AHC fluid exchange twice now. There is no reason not to do the complete exchange. Vacuuming out the reservoir is the hardest part, The bleeding process takes ~15 min. Searously it’s easy, last time at 60k miles my 11 year old daughter and 13 year old son did the entire process, no joke.

Last time I did it I got 4 L from the dealer. It was fairly close so for an extra $18 next time I’ll get five
