I just finished my lift kit install, yes I opted for 3" blocks in the rear and the truck already had 2" shackels on it, now the parking brake cable drags across the top of the springs, looks like I could fab. some type of replacement cable holding device- has anyone else come across this problem, and what would be the best way to fix this?

( I do realize now that if I had gone with lifted springs in the rear that I would't be dealing with this problem now).

Thanks a bunch for the link, let me go with that route, Yes springs would have been the rite way to go but I bought this as a kit ( 100% bolt on with no mods. required -as advertised), well in my universe the truck will need longer brake lines, a dreg link, a front drive shaft extension and the before mentioned parking brake cable issue, guess it's also the shackels that threw thing off , the truck does appeal to me with it's new ride hight, gonna be a while till it's do done, but that's ok too, one piece at a time and it'll get there.
Thanks again.

Looks like i could run them under the springs if i would have gone with a taller block, i think some arm extensions could be fabed fairly easy.

Not trying to be a dill hole here, but I hope youre not planning on wheeling this at all... blocks are about the worst thing you could have put on it to wheel! If youre gonna wheel it, pick up some el cheapo springs and shocks.... just wheel it! :D

Now if all you wanted was some lift to make it look tough on the street for some poser points, then you might want to add a anti-wrap bar in the mix to keep from turning your springs into large S shaped paper weights.

Like I started with, not trying to be a jerk... just speaking from experience!

Oh, what do you know, you only have 3 posts! :D Welcome to Mud!!!

Sage advice there. I've never liked block lifts.....

Yeah, yeah, yeah... Just joined, give me time! ;-)

I see lots of lifted trucks here in Tucson, many of which are running blocks, some even in the front! I just shake my head and cringe... of course these are the same trucks that have never seen dirt much less rocks and typically have more chrome than a ricer show... I'm sure they look at my DD and see the smashed up cab and wonder why this poor guy is driving around with no doors in the middle of summer in Tucson! No poser points here... just lots of chunks missing out of my MTR's! :D

No ofense taken. I do realize that I should have gotten springs in the rear it's just that this guy gave me a super deal on the lift kit ( tough country, I'm sure some folks don't like them ), & no , I'm not trying to make a macho looking truck-I've had this rig since '91 and has been places that I can't even begin to describe here- amazing places in the middle of the desert litaraly hundreds of miles away from a paved road or any civilization. The truck has been stock with the exception of just 2" shackels and the roll bar and the 31 x 10.5 tires, the PO did stick a 5 speed in it, climbs like a goat and has never stranded me limped home a couple of times wth a broken shock or motor mount but anyway the old springs are shot thats why I'm playing with the suspension-I'll take the advice about the blocks-there only 2" tall but I've heard similar stories.

Whats the point in having anything with 4 wheel drive if you never use it?
