Paint/Body Shop recommendations in So. Cal (LA area)

Hey, I am looking for a recommendation to a Paint/ Body shop in the LA area SF valley or southern Ventura county preferred. I need to get my 60 repainted. I don't need a show quality job. No major body work needed just some minor stuff. Please on recommend a shop if you have first hand experience with them

Please share the info if you find a good shop. I am in the midst of removing all the exterior trims, glass and rain gutter seal for painting.
I found a place in Covina near Azusa and San Bernardino Rd that was recommended by a high end paint shop. Some rust and body repairs was quoted at $1600 or so but that was with their higher end paint and rain gutter strip and seal. They are likely to have a $700 or so paint option.

I had work done on my cruiser when some foo hit my front driver door and crush it..
They not only did a speedy job but match the paint job on my faded rig..
That's about the only experience I have had with any paint shop..
No where near you Peter but around here in San Dimas........

When I lived in Santa Monica, Leo at "A+ Auto" on Lincoln Blvd just South of Ocean Park Blvd. Took care of my 88 FJ62. I don't know if he is still there but he was very honest and could fix anything. The shop was across the street from the McDonald's behind the Enterprise Rental car. I no longer have his number since it has been 5 yrs since I left Hell-A

i am looking for someone as well. i have some prospects will let you know when i find one, i am looking for obscure independent paint shop, i have a very low budget for a paint job. like wise i am not looking to paint my cruiser show room quality. i want to spend the $ on the quality of the paint.

This is a little farther away, in orange county, but not a bad drive from LA. My Dad has been going to this guy for over 25 years, and they'll work with you on your budget.

It's an old school shop, where you tend to have to work on their schedule. Go in, tell them your budget and what you want to do, and they'll try to work with you. Of course if you go the budget route, don't expect it right away. I think one time they took 8 weeks to do a repaint, since they worked his car in when business was slow. Just an fyi.

It's been a good 5 years since my dad went there, but all the repaint and body work the shop did in the past was good work for the price. My dad has had 3 cars repainted there, and one car repaired from an "insurance total" to like new condition. No idea if things have changed since, but it was definitely an old school type shop and may be what you're looking for.
