Hello,
In May I picked up a 2000 LX 470 with 313k miles on it. The previous owner had experienced the same issue im having so this issue started before I owned it. To start with, after a certain amount of driving it will throw a P1121 code (according to my code reader- throttle/pedal position sensor/coolant flow control valve position sensor circuit stuck). In researching this code it sounds like it normally triggers limp mode, but my lx has only gone into limp mode once, immediately after starting it. I also have two evap codes; p0441 and p0446, but I haven’t found any connection with my issue. The primary problem is that, when the engine is warm (operating temperature or a few notches below) the car will intermittently idle very low right after starting, sometimes so low that it shuts off completely. Once it recovers it runs normally, except maybe idling low a little bit. I’m not super familiar with diagnosis and the APPS and TPS are expensive enough that I’m trying to not replace them until I know that they are defective. I’ve removed and cleaned the throttle body which didn’t really help.
Anyone have any thoughts or recommendations?

New accel pedal sensor is the fix for P1121 per FSM.

You're welcome! Look at top for the Resources section and you'll find it. But glad to help.

As far as the Evap codes go, it may be time for a new canister. There's a big thread on here about that.
