my cruiser build up in the goldfields here, all donated from old man

white cab is 75 the chassis under that is now destroyed, still have the 2f that is on the restored one

beigey colour on trailer is 77 and chassis that a PO recently restored (crap job), took some white parts with me and various others too

the blue cruiser is a 72 with a 302
in it

Still deciding weather to combine the 75 & 77 together to make a stock rig and then do the 72 but not sure to combine all in one

'72 with a 302 sounds pretty good to me!

another aussie - very good! so are you keeping the 302 and 4 speed or going some other drivetrain? keep us posted. what goldfield are you near?

I will probably going another engine setup for that 72 - (I like originality) and find a F engine or maybe 2f or 2h, which ever first :)
I'm in Kalgoorlie matey, I see you're from the big west too!
awesome! i'll be following this one.
Cheers on holiday atm - can't start anything till mid Novemebr

some pics of the 2f that will be temporarily going in on the 75/77 build (i dont like the 2f much but it will do to get it registered i will just be making sure it runs perfect and good enough till i swap it one day..), has ACL forged internals rebuild 220,000kms ago pics taken about 5 years ago

The red tank you see on the firewall under the brake stuff is an old fire extinguisher converted to an airtank so we could have compressed air pumping up the 31s on the beach:)

Moving the 2f onto the disc chassis, i think we can all agree that theese things are heavy as a brick house and should be only done once a year

just a bit of temporary mounting ;)

Just thinking how lucky we are to have concrete to move an engine crane on the move this thing otherwise it would have been a nightmare

Pic of a 2f and a metal roof sandblasted and only 1 rust hole both i got for free only had to travel 350~kms, how good is that?

Some pictures of old mans working rig with 350 chev

got it moved and in the shed but blew a small hole in the head during moving so itll be a parts engine for anything i need

after 5 or so years later...
some photos of taking all the given stuff on the trailer, pretty much cleaned his shed, gear boxes, transfers,( vac transfer in there somewhere.. not sure what its off but its 40 series),manifolds, aisin carbs.. lots to list, not to mention an overdrive! (in pieces though) and drive shafts is what i can remember.

got it on the trailer

other body mounted on

all strapped up and ready to travel 900~kms

finally got the old girl(s) home and in the shed making it harder to move around and the rolling chassis undercover, towed about 3 tonnes worth with my 4 cyl diesel daihatsu turbo, she did well, but the trailer didnt hold up, broke a spring perch and didnt know till we unloaded which is good

some pics of the chassis

post 10
some pictures of the stuff i got given, most of the stuff im not sure what it all is but i posted on a FB group and got some help so ill name to th ebest i can with theese items. the first of which people would be familiar and i may put it in my build if it will fit ;)

early 4 speed pre split transfer / h41

h41 four speed late split type transfer, upposibly off a H motor

early 40 / j30 transfer case

split transfer from late 4 speed with vaccum shift / or a 60 series transfer supposibly / or a so called 1982+ 19 spline split case

custom made clutch fork to suit toyota cable im sure of.. riveted on there

now for the bell housing pics... no idea what its off but the rear of the adapter goes to a toyota box, some ideas were that its a h41 bellhousing, dyna 4cyl, h motor bell housing and fywheel housing 3 bolt holes could determine earyle type engine mounts, or an adapter to some 6 cyl old ford or hemi. pics below feel free to pitch in..

Hey mate just looking at your 302 install. It's not too far forward - it's in a great location. Mine is about that close to the firewall. From my experience with this there's two kits on the market for engine swaps into 45's: Marks and Dellow's. I used a Mark's kit [second hand and cobbled together with pieces from everywhere] and it's my pick.

The Mark's one uses the Toyota bellhousing as well a custom Mark's alloy one that spaces the engine off the firewall. It uses a stock Holden flywheel, pressure plate and clutch plate.

The Dellow one requires cutting the firewall 4" to recess the motor or losing your heater and bending your gearstick and therefore modifying driveshafts. It uses a stock Holden flywheel and pressure plate but a custom clutch plate that has a Toyota spline but is of a Holden diameter.

Climb under there and see if yours has two bellhousings or just one.

Cheers Daniel, will go and crawl under it this weekend, PO said that conversion was done mid 90s, were marks around then?? I went and fixed up the wiring so I could easily start it and move it if I needed
