I'd totally be down for a trip up there once i get a truck going. Love that area!

Do you still have all the vehicles in your signature? Still have a 70? Which are you thinking of getting going?

Yeah, I really like the areas up there too. I like the big lakes and mountains. And I like how many fewer people and gates there are too!
 
Friend of mine just got back from camping at Side Bay. I had to google where the hell that was...looks pretty nice if you get decent weather.
Couple hours past Port Alice on a logging road.
Still let you drive onto the beach and camp.

That's my sort of spot. North of Brooks Peninsula it looks like? That's a long ways, but looks amazing. I'd be trying some salmon surf casting off those rocks. If anyone is up for that sometime, let me know.

Yeah bit of a drive for sure. 6-7 hours I guess?

Mostly paved tho, just the last couple hours on dirt.

I'm hoping I can bail and go camping for a night or two before the weather changes.

Don't know if I'll go that far...but I've been threatening an up island road trip for years.
