has anyone done any overhead trays or stereo/cb mounting in their pigs? i want to mount a cb, i like over head for sight and convenience, and the 76 has the front heater vent, so that leaves no room anywhere near the driver underneath to mount a cb.

something like a tuffy?

Lou

god i hope not. got a tuffy overhead in my 40 and won't ever do that rattletrap p.o.s. again.

since the piggie is fully enclosed, locking enclosure isn't as necessary as in the 40. maybe something along the lines of the old trays for the 40 hardtops. maybe mounting into the visor holes or something?

Howdy! I have thought about this myself. Maybe do an angle bracket off the top of the over-door hand grips, and then brace the center of the shelf at the base of the mirror/sun visor bracket? John

I have a solution but it's not for everybody. Here's where mine's going to mount.

The problem I see with those trays....................you need to support the free end of the sunvisors, otherwise they will bounce down into your vision. An easy problem to solve...................

if you have sunvisors :D

using the roof i cut off of uglibus, i began figuring out something simple. just a tray like what is offered for the 40s. unfortunately, the later models use a different setup for the visor, but everything else appears to be the same. i hope to have a mock up by next weekend. the rust mark shows that the support where the dome light bolts up does not go all theway to the front.
