Cool start, Conquest's Rule! Does anyone know if the AC units have air filters, 1 or 2?

i would guess they have all sorts of filters as its a luxury machine.

Just like Scalps broken link, this features a lot of broken MB's... Tmax will not be happy... Is there a "do not like" option?[/QUOTE]

are you kidding. i love the vid and i'm sure bill loves it as much. you see its not the G that was the failure but the operators and again i know thats what bill wanted to point out. after all who would take AMG speced shocks and low profile tires wheeling anyway. for these guys, even taking a s*** in the bush is a big accomplishment. of course, they do show a mill spec G briefly and mention it worked flawlessly. incidentally, the canandian army has a buch of very well equiped G's. you should find out the testing they did with all the other bidders before they picked the G.

if you ever check out a G, you would wish toyota would have coppied more things from them.

Brand new $80,000 rigs!! - Blown/ripped out (what 3) shocks, broken spare tire bracket, AC crapped out - all obvious operator errors (for not taking a Landcruiser) even with a team of factory mechanics they actually made it.

doubt you would be ripping out shocks in a Landcruiser - even the 25 year junk we drive.

oh boy. LMAO. here you go glenn. take any of these out and see how they do. the cool think about mercedes is that they make things to suite any needs. dont get me wrong. toyota's are awesome poormans rigs. or are we just seperating the men from the boys. LOL. on another note, did you get a real truck yet or are you still dreaming??

LOL Sass... love your MB/G enthusiasm... just remeber that coil sprung, raduised arm 4x4's have been around since 66 not 79... :hillbilly:

you know you can get coils and links but in many things including jeeps. however i'm sure not all coils and links are equal.:hillbilly:

the first time i had real experience with G's was about 7 years ago when i met raz. it was his first 4x4 and he was eager to build it up. after riding with him a few times, i pretty much told him that the rig performs perfectly and dont fxxx with it. (pretty much the same thing i said about my lexus) since then, i have participated in many mods or upgrades plus allot of exposure to the all around performance. its a tough call to say what is better. a G or an 80 series. the G has absolutly better suspenion and ten times the frame. the driveshafts put your typical domestic crap to shame. however and 80 does work really good, its well balanced, and they are cheap (the key word here). however for new price, i think the G's are actually cheaper and even a better value.:steer:

Anyone knows you can't compare mil spec vehicles (2x or more in cost) with civilian vehicles. Apples to apples boy

Here are the Gall Boys pulling a hugh trailer through similar terrain in Australia and their biggest worry each night is -- what's next going on the bar-b-que

must say after being a passenger in razz's g-wagon and out 4x4ing with him,i must agree that the older 2door g's are a superior 4x4 pretty much all round in their comparitible aftermarket alterred state. but in the overall picture i still consider the 80s a more passenger friendly camping haulling rig, that is somewhat cheap to maintain when used within its upper limits. pretty tough to compare a new g to an old cruiser.

ok so who is anyone and how do you figure they cost twice as much and you cant buy one as a civilian????

so glenn do you actually know anything about G's or just pulling things out of you ass and google.

i got "cupcake" and good experience with G's so got both vehicles covered.

btw comparing a new rig to a 25 year old one is not apples to apples. dam kids these days.

yes for sure. i personaly would have a hard time choosing. i like mercedes generally because they offer so much options and combinations plus have all sorts of parts available. the technical manuals are like a catalog of aftermarket parts but designed by mercedes so you know it does work.

I am commenting on the facts from those reports - not expressing opinion - I know about G-wagens ( I have owned an Austrian military Pinzgauer,- if you read my words - all I am saying is you should compare civilian to civilian vehicles and mil spec to mil spec.
How hard is that to comprehend - perhaps a refresher in English 12 might help - if you ever got through it.

funny as i comprehend just fine. the fact is that you are trying to say that a mill spec rig is different or possibly optioned better than a civilian one and that is not the case. if you mean you get window winders or vinyl seats instead of leather, wood and ac then you are correct. however we both know that was not the debate. all this showes is your lack of knowledge on the topic. you know it doesnt hurt to learn something new once in a while. try it out. you may enjoy it. i'm out. not going to waste any more time on you. please go ahead stay ignorant on the topic.
