Yes and no, we still have the tanks, but they are not made by Long Ranger, they are long range automotive.

Steve.

Thanks for the heads up on this, I just spoke with one your guys. Looks like you rpart number LR4260 will do the trick and come in a lot cheaper than the Australian option. A good 12 galons less capacity, but that may be better for my suspension anyway.

Just looking over the specs... it says "aluminized steel" what is this exactly? I am running biodiesel which does not like Aluminum tanks.

thanks!

Hmm snow, daylight, and 1:27 AM. Where'd ya take that picture... Inuvik?

P Straub had a Aussie 190 liter tank in his HJ61. Was from another manufacturer but I can't remember who. Was really nice to have a 1200km range. Outlasted the driver's bladder on every road trip I went on in it.

Funny thing, the axle you are looking out came out of Tippy.

Small world.

Zander, aluminized steel is basically steel with a specail coating that helps reduce rust. I believe there are traces of aluminum in it, but I am not sure if it will aftect your biodiesel. I think your engine dislikes your grease more than the grease will dislike the tank! :D

HZJ60GUY,
Are you looking for the 80 series factory sub tank? We should be getting some in hopfully next week, with all this talk on here I think we might sell out pretty quick. I will not be sure of an updated price until they arrive, because of the terrible exchange rate changes.

Thanks a lot,
Steve

Thanks for the heads up on this... I think though this rules out this tank for me as i would like to go with somehting that will for sure not react to biodiesel.

You guys do have the 12 gallon OEM steel AUX tank though correct? This could be helpful as my start tank in a duel tank ceggie oil system.

Steve, not really. If I bother to put a tank in it'll be a big one. Ive had a good experience with the Opposite Lock people. I'd probably order one from them.

50 gallons baby.

Ya hoo.

Yeah we have the sub tanks, but dont you need a heater or something for the biodiesel? I only know a little about that conversion but I thought the oil hardens after sits? I dont think an appropriate heater will fit if that is the case. Thanks, Steve

No way, buy both of our long range 80 tanks together. Then you get 72 gallons!! YAAAAAA HOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Hmmm,,

72 x $2.45 = $176.40..............

I'm jerkin' both my tanks and replacing them with on of them 6 gallon outbord motor tanks.

That way I can fill up for less than 20 bucks............:flipoff2:

I plan on going forward with an Opposite Lock order from Australia and would love to split shipping. Anyone interested in opposite lock products for a group order? I plan on having the shipment shipped to the port of Oakland California and can forward from there as necessary.

This is a pic of a 45 gallon rear long range tank on my 97 cruiser. Hope this helps.

Is the location of the fuel tank in front of the rear axle merely a Toyota design decision or is there some kind of regulation that restricts the fuel tank and filler neck location so we do not turn to fireballs if someone rearends us? I seem to recall something came out of the Ford Pinto mess, obviously does not apply to Oz or South Africa.
