Last weekend we had a trip to wedge, went up friday morning early.

It was a great weekend even if it was windy as hell. Got some great 4wding done, broke a tie rod end that had been fractured at the show. Managed to source a new one in Lanno luckily. Both sprung over cruisers were up there too!

A common sight when running big spacers, big offset and big tyres.

And only after about 1000kms

But, for a $100 fix... why not :)

A spy pic so you know im still moving on the intercooler idea

You could run a IFS hub widening kit with 60series diffs and that would probably negate the need to run wheel spacers. Alot of work in that though but probably better than changing wheel bearings every 1000km?

Spent too much money on this axle, if it becomes an issue i will be going Dana 60/70 hybrid axles

Had some great fun Sunday out in toodyay

The 60 series axles would help but the IFS hub kit does not improve scrub radius and is not much better then wheel spacers.

Here is the best solution, just too bad you didn't do it before your cut and turn on the knuckles.

(link title is deceiving, I am referring to the extended axle sleeves starting in post 3)

Yeah im kicking myself i didnt go 60s in the front originally but oh well...

It has started...

This should get me a lil more poke for WOZC... not that i really need it hahah!

Right, well the truck is parked up again for some more mods before West OZ.

Im ripping the dash out to fit an internal 4point cage.
Ripping the front diff center out (again) to modify the mounting studs so the center stops coming loose.
I have the intake manifold off and cut up ready for the intercooler to be welded into it.
I have to modify some of the tray, i may lower it to bring my COG down, and fit the intercooler radiator to it.
Hose up the intercooler with dual systems (2 seperate intercoolers so needs 2 pumps and 2 sets of pipework).
Going to tweek the suspension a bit so it works a bit better in the speed sections and fit front bumpstops.
Fit a decent thermo fanned power steer cooler.
Dual batterys with charge equaliser for the winch.
Make a basic cradle for the winch.
Some race seats with harnesses.
Need some lights.
Modify low range lever so i can have 2wd low and so its not so close to my leg.
Window nets maby for wankfactor.
Shorten front driveshaft.
New longer rear driveshaft as the spline is flogged out on my new one already.

Prolly a s*** load more too… and thats all b4 West OZ hahah!

Bit of an update,

Its mounted to the head nice and rigid, i have started to tack the parts together for the air tubes.

3mm high tensile ali sheet is impossible to bend by hand or even with decent tooling. Ive had to get it all rolled... ah well

another update,

Started on the funnel side, i have to get the other piece rolled b4 i can finish the manifold side.

Its gonna take some specky pieces to go from the 3" bend to the funnel.
