If he is willing to bring his camera or card to my house, i would be more then happy to! :D

Hope the game was worth it......Go Chargers!!;);)

HEHEHEHEHE

I was doing my best to refrain from that, glad someone else mentioned it!

I think routing for the Chargers is like begging for punishment. Sure they may win last week or next week, but eventually they will have their ass handed to them by the PATS! :flipoff2:

I'm glad I was able to catch the game but, after looking at the pictures and reading the write-up, NO WAY.

I really wish I could've been there with you guys. :frown:

Is "Ass handed to them by the Pats" the same as "Throttled by the Colts"? If so, let the Chargers get their asses handed to them, and we'll see you at the Super Bowl.

In all seriousness, this looked like a really awesome trip. "Epic" for sure. I'm glad you all had fun and I hope I have the opportunity to make the trip next time. My trip to A-B was a bucket of sand on a beach in comparison.

ROCK ON!

Steve - awesome pics.

Next time I won't pass on this!!!!

AB is in our back yard so to speak, it's fun and there is stuff there that can tear the sh*t out of your rig. Don't knock it, we need to save it.

Yeah, i agree with ya 100%!

Its a great place and has some amazing trails.

But, the last few times i have been there though, i have seen A LOT of traffic!

Its a supply and demand thing, its one of the few local places left, so its a given that most folks head there.

Scott,

Did you do both cobblers, cake mix and scratch? Which won?

Wow, this definately turned out to be an awesome trip! I never had any idea that Baja had all this to offer. Like many, I'd only ever been down the west coast. It is tuly amazing what a variety of scenery you experience once you head inland.

In 30 years of Baja travel I have never entertained the thought of exploring the interior and this trip was just plain amazing.

Just think, we have only SCRATCHED the surface!

There is TONS more to explore!

I cant answer which one "WON" but i can give you my opinion.

They were both AWESOME, but personally, i think peach one was the best!

We forgot to drain the peaches and it was soupy, but I dug the soupy texture and when mixed with melted ice cream it made an awesome soup! I LOVED this desert!

The apple one was awesome too, and the crust went perfect with the ice cream, but i still prefer peach!

Scott,

I preferred the apple but wasn't happy with either. Don't get me wrong, they both tasted good. However I blew it on the peach by buying peaches in water not syrup and then not draining the water. With the apple I did need to reduce your recipe ingredients to fit my 10" dutch oven. We lost 1/3 of the mix as it rose up and out of the pan. Because of this the nice carmelized crust got stuck to the lid but Stan and I worked together to scrape it off, all and all it was good, especially with Ben and Jerry's on top!! Stan the Man.

Thanks again for the recipe Brent.

I had a feeling this trip would be special and it was. I tried to tell you to dump the scouts and join us. Also, thanks for the use of Ms. Sputnik she kept us warm the first night---when it was colder than a W#tches Tit.

Don't tell anyone?

Just think, we have only SCRATCHED the surface!

The problem with this run is that it sparks interest in too many others who will now find out the secret of BAJA. We shall have to venture further afield to stay away from the crowds.

Yes and No. I think it sparks interest, but i also think that the recent crimes have kept a lot of folks that are interested from venturing down. Fine with me! :D

Baja Sucks - Don't Bother

Sorry for taking so long to post, but I've been in and out of bed ever since we got back.

Fever, then chills. Mexico sucks - it's dirty and you get sick.

Don't waste your time.

Wow.

What a great trip!
I've never crammed so much Baja into three days!! :steer:
Epic scenery + epic people + legendary Land Cruisers = An Epic trip of legendary proportions!!

Thanks for all the fun times and fantastic memories. I'll post up more when I have some energy.

Now back to bed. . .

Whats up with the stock bumper Steve? After you sold me the ARB I thought you were going to go with a shortbus or something.. looking at the first few pics I recognized your rig right away. The Slee six inch really stands out ya know?!

Reading through the thread I was wondering when someone was going to raise the issue of crime. I work with folks who have family down there. We talk allot about how beautiful it is but it always ends on a down note when the subject of crime comes up. This reassures me that it's not that bad. I get the feeling that you might have been in areas so remote and isolated that the issue never came up??
