You know this truck?

What do you think of it?

There could only be one

I haven't seen it in the finished state... but that looks like seapotato's contraption

I think that only one mutation like this could exist...

I have no Idea who would be crazy enough to build such a contraption....:hillbilly:

It was to be the camping wagon, never having to think about rust is kinda nice, weighs a helluva lot less and is smaller than a 60, but still has room to camperize the back end and sleep in it. And no Rover bull****.

but I'm not diggin the whole business of dealing with two trucks, too much effort, maintanence ,expense etc.

I've got a boat I want to build, and I'm getting tired of working on old trucks.

so fxxxit, getting rid of it. I always sell my junk when it's 95% finished anyhow...some sorta pattern emerging, get s*** almost done then sell it...freud might be questioning the cigar right about now...

Going to use the coin to build the boat in my garage, and keep my eyes out for a cheap Prado to mate with my BJ70, still old trucks, but a touch more civilized.

If it doesn't sell, I'll just part it, few things in there I'd like to keep, just bein lazy about it.

there's actually lots of rovers kicking around with 3b's and cruiser axles, not terribly uncommon as they just about bolt right in.

even one over on the mainland on a mini truck frame, so it happens.

The bodies are just aluminum crates, pretty easy to bolt to whatever you like.

Had a real pretty one in the shop one day, guy owns like three of them.

Smoking deal.

I should swing by your place, would like to see this thing in person....

Give me a call on my cell if you get a chance 250-six six seven-0246

I didn't state it but I figured the odds were good it was yours.

Glad to hear

Was it one of us or someone else?

If i didn't already have a truck I would have been looking at it.

Frankencruiser has left spudville

Good News
the guv-mint gets their money, you have more time and money to work on boat, a few less parts in goat-shed,an empty parking spot to put another project.
Bad News
you dont get a cent for the hundreds of hours you put into the project, you dont get the pleasure of camping, wheeling, breaking stuff and getting stuck in some spot miles from nowhere.
I think Freud would call this cruiser erection dysfunction:bang:

bah,the hundreds of hours spent were the fun part....;p

Otherwise I'd have been working on the house..or something equally unpleasant.

I did the same thing when I built my 45, managed to keep it a year before selling it...

Proved it could be done, and turn out pretty well, but fact is, I'm getting too damn old for such an uncivilized old wagon...

I'm going to keep it to one truck, if that means mating my 70 with a prado to make a BJ78 ( top of the list) or dealing with my sudden case of 80 envy in some way...:grinpimp:

on a side note....just saw a bj74 on calgary craigslist for 4400 bucks. Scored cylinder needs repair...someone should go get that.
